ASU Football Woes and WHAT's UP WITH FSN-AZ

This was supposed to be an exciting season for ASU football. We were finally going to start winning again. And we have been doing really well! Last week we only lost to Georgia by a Field Goal in the final seconds of the game; and that was on Georgia's home field. Way better than we experienced last year at the hands of the Bulldogs. But it seems like getting a loss kind of winds us!

Now we are playing Oregon State at home, and they are beating us terribly! I can't believe this! It's almost as if we aren't trying. C'mon guys! You can't let one loss get you down. It was a good loss, and the game would have gone into OT. If we win we could have an argument for beating USC later in November. I'll admit, Oregon State is a really good team. And it's tough to admit this in light of the game currently being played, but I picked them to win the PAC-10 this year. They have really made some drastic improvements over the past couple of years, and those Rogers brothers are explosive themselves, have to keep an eye on them. But the Devils have not lost to the Beavers at Sun Devil Stadium since 1969. NO REASON TO START NOW!

Most importantly, last week the Pussycats of UA beat Oregon State. We can't have Jason getting a reason to gloat about anything. We need to beat these guys. Otherwise the Pussycats might think they have a chance to beat us again at the end of the year!

Not to mention that the game is not being televised right now. Neither was the game last week, but that was against Georgia and ESPN had bought the rights to put it on their ESPN-U channel. But seriously, are we never going to get to watch another ASU football game this season? I don't have tickets to get to the stadium with, I want to watch my Devils on TV. But FSN isn't showing the games now? What's worse is they aren't showing ANY game right now! It's some sports documentary they are airing. Stupid people.

On a related note, I'm kind of angry that Oregon running back Legarret Blount might get to come back and play again. He was suspended for the season because of unsportsmanlike conduct after he punched a Boise State player in the face for patting him on the back and saying, "Good game." He was completely unprovoked, and after he did it he bloodthirstily went after coaches and fans as well! I was ticked that he didn't lose his scholarship, but having to sit out the rest of the season and losing any chance of ever playing on Sunday kind of appeased me. But if he is allowed to come back and play, I will have to write an angry letter to the NCAA about it. Seriously, what's he going to learn if his punishment is revoked after only a couple of weeks? This is another testament to the wussification of America.
